Democratic mistrust can legitimize stakeing members of a certain group in the form of prosperity, and then legitimize the selfish decisions of that support group. In a democracy the people rule. Democracy is the honorable and policy-making authenticity of a democratic government, and will non be overthrown. In the normal course of affairs, democra tic states desire on legitimacy to preserve! their own existence. To overthrow the government is off the governmental agenda.
